What do you guys think?

Mike

Pretty!!!!! that buckeye has figure. it is also really complements the blade. how comfortable is that octagon?

Love it Mike!! Really nice job bud. That handle is awesome.

Looks like a wicked slicer.

Thanks guys :)I actually the handle is quite comfortable. I prefer these over a western handle as far as comfort and usability goes. It doesn't limit the placement of the hhand when using thhe knife. I really dig the buckeeye also...great looking stuff :) This should be a crazy good slicer....I didn't give it a run before shipping it out.

Definitely a fine blade. Looks wonderful

Very nice! Great work on everything Mike!:thumbup: :cool::cool:

Great looking Petty Mike.
You did a great job on the Wa handle.
I will be trying to make one on the blade you sent me real soon.

The whole things makes it a great thing to look at, and I'll bet it works real well too !!! Frank

Thanks for the comments guys! I sanded the handle to a 600 grit, tung oil, 800 grit, tung oil, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, all with tung oil applications with rubbing it into the surface. After i finished with the sanding and hand buffing i used a carnuba wax hand rubbed into the handle a few times. Love the look...feels like glass and has a great shine :)
