My son is just over 8 months old and I want to get him a really good red wagon. When I was a kid Radio Flyer only had one or two models, now there are a ton!

Would anyone recommend one they have liked for their children?

I like the traditional metal ones, but it could be a problem in the hot Florida sun and salt water.

Thanks

My advice would be to get him a plastic one due to your location, but to really make sure you play with him. I remember making snowmen with my dad (and how happy that made me) much more than I remember my wagon (other than it was red ;) )

We had good service from a '2nd step' (I think) plastic one. Had a little one seat trailer so we could tow along friends and lots of snacks. Lots of play for several years and we gave it away in real good shape. Most of these kids toys are pretty much disposable, but they'll out grow it anyway.

Plastic does make sense. I'm just not sure how sturdy it will be (the wagon is for both of us to play with;) ).

My dad used to put me and my brother in the wagon and drag us all around the neighborhood.

We can walk to the beach, so I should get the fat ATV wheels.
I have so much fun playing with him that my wife has to remind me to put him down and go to work:D

When I do get a wagon I will post pics of him in the wagon ,and maybe a sheathed knife or two;)

You need to get the Radio Flyer All Terrain Cargo Wagon. I bough mine when my first daughter was born 7 years ago and it has been everywhere, done everything and still looks good. We throw an old blanket in the bottom for them to sit on and it works fine for them.
