Here is one of the pieces I will have in Little Rock. The blade is 11.5" of forged and clay heat treated W-1. The blade has lots of utsuri (shadowing above the hamon) and a nice and active hamon. I am planning on nitre blued fittings and a blackwood handle, quilted with domed N/S pins at the intersections of hte quilt lines. A take down....... of course. Perhaps some gold inlay on the fittings as well.

I will post more pics as I finish it. Let me know what you think,

Well you're certainly off to a brilliant start with that blade - can't wait to see the rest of it!

Bailey, you always have something nice ...well many nice...really all kinds of nice pieces...? usually I mean ;)

DARBY YOU PUNK!!!!!!! How is Your dear wife, and where is that baby?!!!

See you at the show?

Anthony,

Thanks, I figured you would like it at 11.5". Will you be coming to Arkinsaw? :p

I hope to have more pics up this afternoon. The hydraulic pump coupling sheared off it's cogs while forging this blade, so I will spend part of the day repairing it. Could make for a late night.....

Baily,
That blade is just BEAUTIFUL! What a great Hamon line! Look forward to seeing it and you in Little Rock. Take care.

Tom

Here is a progress pic. The handle is african blackwood, quilted witht he N/S pins . 90 pins in al. The guard is damascus, and the ferrule is damascus with sterling silver spacers. The finial is mild steel that will be heat colored.

Ah, I see you went to the Danbo School of Digital Photography! ;) :p :D

Seriously nice bowie, Bail. Looking forward to "Coonfingering" it in a few days. :)

This is shaping up to be one of my favorite bowies of yours - which is saying something. :D  I love the quilted handle. A less fuzzy pic would be most welcome. Ahem. :p

Roger
