The smaller 2 3/4" Schrades... stockmen, pens, jacks, peanuts ... they don't get near as much attention as the bigger knives. How about a Little Schrade thread? Here's some of the ones I have. I like the long nail pulls on the older ones. And the clip on the 272.

very nice collection---- like you said , probally overlooked alot in preferance to bigger models. might be a good place for beginning collectors to start with a smaller budget and lesser demand also.------- i have noticed the $high interest lately in the kon kav"s. just wanted to compliment and say hi-------back to work i go; brady

Thanks. You are right Brady. Most of the little ones are a little easier on the wallet to obtain.

Beautiful little knives.......Thawk they should put you in charge of the synchronized swimming at the next Olympic Games I reckon mate!

With regards the smaller knives I've found the older smallish ones invariably did more work with greater sharpening of blades than their big brothers because of their greater 'carryability' in the pocket....<is that a word Lrv?> Hoo Roo

I would enjoy the synchro swimming duty, as long as I did not have to participate. Then there would be trouble. Originally I lined them up in a row, and the picture was too small. The upside down arrangement was a space saving manuever.

The little knives look good as an assorted set, better than as a stand alone. Little knives do fit nicely in little pockets. Good portability. Hard to sharpen that little pen blade, but good for precision cutting or finishing toothpicks.

Nice group of the tiddlers thawk! Excellent picture too, here are my tiddlers, I don't know about yours thawk, mine have a real good snap for a small knife

Wow I just picked up a Cadillac 708B like the one in that bottom row center, an hour ago on my lunch break. Mine is pocket worn and missing the Cadillac badge, and the blades have patina but the blade etch is visible. Tang stamp is the same. Any idea of the age of this knife?

As far as I know late 70's through to the mid 80's, thats not the time period of the knife just the SFO time line approximately. someone else may know more info regarding this SFO.

Nice bunch yourself Rusty. I like the swedge on your peanut, and I've tried for a few of those Black Caddies. Could I get a close up on that shield? I like that name tiddlers.

Hope this works thawk! it's about as close as I could get it. we used to go fishing for tiddlers when I was young, sticklebacks or minnows.

Interesting shield. Nice SFO for sure. Always been a fan of those big black caddies from the old days. Thanks.

Here's a little Schrade I look forward to owning someday :D

I have a Schrade Little Bear (?) that I wore on my key chain so long that I wore throught the bail. Sent it back to Schrade and they replace the bail, polished the wood scales and sharpened the blade. I had used it a fair amount, but then I retired it after it was fixed as so many places started metal screening and I was always having to take it off my key ring.

Thanks for the schmall schrades thread.
I do have a few I can share.
First was a 708 my wife found in a parking lot
after it had already been run over.
Despite the missing bolster, I cleaned it up,
reshaped the broken clip tip, and made it my backup
EDC for those days when my 1978 22087 was just too heavy.
I've misplaced (or lost) it, so I did find a 708B to replace it w/ no plans to tote it.
