Kershaw is big on 14C28N..... holds up good....

VS

Pro Tech and common 154-CM.....it feels more heavy and solid.....

Just a quick help on your opinion...

I'm not sure what you're asking either. Both steels are good, IMO. Like always, it comes down to a good heat treat. Kershaw has 14c28n perfected. It's a really clean steel too, like all of the Sandvik steels.

Both are good, just different. I've done my own manila rope cutting with both.

14C28N is similar to razor-blade steel. Takes and holds a finer edge than you get with 154CM. 154CM will retain its edge longer than 14C28N.

So
If you like a screaming sharp edge - 14C28N.
If you like a longer lasting edge - 154CM.
