I have two "throwers", a Norlund and a Kelly/TT Red Warrior. Upon getting them cleaned up, I decided to fill the stamp on the Red Warrior with red paint. Tacky enough, but I liked it still. Later, I figured why not go ahead and do the same for the Norlund? Baby blue Testors seemed to fit the feel of the Norlund about right.

My wife thinks I'm crazy, but she already thought that.....

I have some old wetterlings single bits and you can still see the blue paint in the lettering of one, I might try to match the color and give it a paint job.

Nice. There's something to be said for aesthetics. It's your axe after all. I like to try all sorts of things, all different methods of restoring.

My little Warren has a little red paint left in the stamp after I sanded the rest of the surfaces. I like it.
