I've been doing a little tinkering. Why? I can't for the life of me find a cigar-pattern Moose that I'd be willing to use.

So, I set to work. Two single-blade Victorinox Solos, handled in aluminum, were combined to make one Moose. Not perfect- little wobble in the blades, little lazy on the snap shut, but I know how to fix that for the next one.

Whatcha think?

These Alox SAK's are really nice folders!
And your moose pattern looks great! :)
I just ordered a Alox Farmer that shoud arrive tomorrow!
You should send these pics to Victorinox for inspiration!!!!!

Well well; I've seen custom handled SAKs before, but never a custom blade configuration! Nice one; I like mooses (meese? Ha ha!), and I like equal-enders, so I see a very nice combo!!
If they make one I'll buy it! I agree, you should send Victorinox a pic!!

I like them, er,, ah,, I mean, it!. Very Cool!.

What is it now: Necessity is the Mother of Invention..;)

Cool...

I've done some tinkering with SAKs myself but never with alox, with plastic scales if you get some scratches or the pins don't get nice looking, etc., the scales will cover it up, with this you have to be more careful, seems that you did a good job.

Now to pick up the parts and do a premium one- this one got some warping as I was fighting the pins, but now I know how deep to file them so I can puch 'em out.

One strange thing about this one, though. It has two front sides, two shields. :D

Next one may well have two backsides.

This is very impressive........

you are giving me ideas.........

like making my own Mora friction folder.
One day, one day.

S & S, drilling out the heads of the rivets may make it a little easier for you. It will also give you a place to set your punch.
