Little walk with a Diving Sparrow

Great pics buddy, I've always liked the looks of Diving Sparrow Knife Works blades, I hear their handles are second to none !

Anyone looking for a nice Parang should check them out as well !!!!

10x4 is indeed small but it does it for me.
Gotta admit the 12x5 it's a better choice. Especially when can accommodate a larger blade like your new sparrow. Sweet looking knife. The ergos on the handle look good and the spear point it's awesome.
How do you find this carry system on longer hikes? After a few hours on the trail, I find it a little uncomfortable, especially due to weight distribution.Maybe because I overload it with water and steel. I attache it to the belt and it seems better. I can't help but thinking a backpack would be better....
Thanks for posting. I miss being surrounded with so much green when I hike.

Good stuff, great looking knife and I'm definitely taking a look into those Tad Gear pouches.

Awesome photos! Looks like a great place to sit and day dream for a while. That georgia Bushcrafter looks good too, looks like it would handle well. I'll be glad when the temps drop down to 90 and lower here.

Nice looking blade! I can't wait to get out there again. That is the place just S.E. of the double nickle isn't it? The bugs are unbelievable this year. I'm gonna wait till it cools down so i can dress for the attack. Are you still thinking about going up north? Give me a call when you get a chance.

hey Porcupine, could I trouble you for a pic with the recon pouch on the front, so it kinda looks like the maxped 10 x 4 pouch? maybe a side on shot if you could? would you say that the pouches on the side stick out alot that you notice them?
Now that I've seen this, you've changed my mindabout the maxped 10 x 4.

Great looking knife and kit! I like these combined walkabout/knife review threads. I might have to do one myself.

I've been liking the looks of diving sparrow knives for a while. That blade shape is a little different than most woods knives but I like it a lot. Nice photos.

Thanks for those photos Porcupine, they really help me get a better view. Now I got to save up, as TAD gear is pretty expensive once I convert it into AUD, pay PP fees and add on shipping (hopefully they dont' charge too much), but from all your pictures you posted, it sure looks worth it.

I'm thinking of getting one of the SERE SP pouches to put on the front, as it seems a bit more low profile. It also should fit, as its 1" deep X 4" tall X 4" wide.

Glad to hear that some people are getting out with the mosquitoes. I went out last night to do some work trimming up the yard and wore as much protection as I could.. still got eaten. Those mosquitoes are relentless.

Knife looks good, too. Good pics, thanks for posting them up
