I can't even get in the blade forums chat room anymore. it says the domain has been banned or something. Do we have one, other than mIRC?????

The test chat room I put up is a Java enabled chat. Make sure you have Java enabled before you go in. Not sure about Mac users.

Also the mIRC chat room is down only for AOL users. Like you guys are not used to that kind of stuff

Hey guys-I just entered the chat room ok.I entered with no trouble and am using an older Mac, so whatever the problem is I don't think its platform based-more to do with mysterious java.

The cool thing is with this chat room I can put it anywhere at anytime.

Type in your username on the forum in the first space below with no spaces. Do not fill out the other two feilds and then click OK Connect!

well, i have a mac G4 and i have no problems to chat, i also have no "send" button, i just hit the enter key and my message is in... make sure to use IE4 or higher to chat, the best is, if you have'nt already, to install both programs (IE and MOZILLA) and try the other one if any problems occur. maybe you do already so and if the problem still occurs i have no idea... just my experience

I got in the Live Charoom, last night with Netscape. Every time I try with AOL, my computer freezes. That gets old pretty quick.
I may just steer clear of Live Chat for awhile, until all the bugs are out. Maybe they're my bugs, I sure don't know.

The Mirc chat room see's a lot of action in the evenings especially on the weekends. I was able to get into it today so I am guessing it is not banned now. Out of all the chat rooms it is the best we have had to date IMO.

Why we are back to using this POS Java chat room I haven't a clue, especially when the mIRC works just fine.

if you're on a mac and having trouble with the javachat thang, try this link: Macs & ParaChat.

it's not a huge amount of info, Phil, but it might be enough to get you past the troubles.

the rest of the Chatter's FAQ is probably worth glancing at too, in case it has more answers under other headings.

hope at least some of that helps.

oh, and gentle hint: some of you might want to click on my edit button to see how to avoid making those long, long LONG url links that stretch out our browsers

ok, ok, so the mighty-in-their-own-minds are brought low...

just as i click on "submit edits" to add in that bit of Wise, Sage, Learned Advice on how to properly code URL's, i get the dang Blue Screen Of Death on my own super-duper kicka@@ PC because it can't handle the stoopid silly javachat thang. *sigh*

it wouldn't be so embarrassing except that both my SO and i are senior-level computer nerds, and here he is, helping out Spark, and here i am, trying to help out Phil and Vampie, and meanwhile, our own dang home computer is coughing up hairballs!!
