I moved this to Wilderness & Survival Skills, more in line with the question.
(By the way, I don't know what you mean by the jerk-it icon, but it is actually an insult, not for use in the regular discussion forums.)
I don't object to hollow handle knives, although the only ones I've got are Chris Reeve's. But yours looks more tactical than survival. I thin the sawback would get in the way of more than it would help. Still, that might depend on environment, and I have no idea what the vegetation in the Sundarbans is like. Is that a stainless blade?
You've got some good small stuff. Swiss Army Knives and small fixed blades add a lot of function without much weight. I would add an extensive medical kit and considering a rainy season, some serious backup for fire-making.
Thanks Esav. I always carried a small knife (Bravo 1 or F1) when I hike. But, I started to carry large blade (over 7.5 inches in length) and powerful flashlight after my encounter with a mountain Lion 6 years ago (Don't like carrying guns).I don't object to hollow handle knives, although the only ones I've got are Chris Reeve's. I agree with Esav, Looks like alot of good items and the hollow handle knife needs to go and replaced with another maker FB. IMO
I don't like hollow handled knives no matter who makes them.
The pics were taken over a year ago. Both knife visited three different countries. No damage so far. Fehrman's coating is a mess now. Bill Sander S3 does not take that much damage on the coating. But, that Orange paracord took some hit so I wrapped it with thin Leather.Agreed,
He does have some basics covered for a knife kit.
All that needs to happen now is go out and use it, the stuff looks awfull new.
