One More Nice Gar Over 6 Foot For The Year.

We tried a few bends in the river and saw plenty of gar but only managed one big gar for the day, they have started dropping baits due to the dropping temperatures. They will start to become much harder to catch as the seasons change. I think i am done guiding for the year but may make a few more trips with the family. Just got some new reels specifically for gar and want to try them out.

The Gear used in the video is a Shimano Trevala Jigging rod rated for 50-100# braid with a Fin Nor Offshore 6500 spooled with 100 pound braid on it
