So I got to thinking, which can be a bad thing for me at times. :D What do you guys do for a living? As for myself, I have pretty thorough training as an automotive mechanic, but its pretty hard to find a job in that field right now in my area. So at the moment, I'm just taking on whatever happens to come my way. This is mostly just yard work, mowing etc though. However, I stay pretty darn busy as there's a lot of vacation homes etc around here that the owners need people to take care of the property while they're away.

I work as a Food Service Tech (work in my own little kitchen and serve patients their trays) at the Major Hospital in my city. Pays really good for someone in my age. When I finish my degree in computer science I plan on staying there but working section. I started 3 months ago as part time and still am but recently got offered full time. :) Started working 4 hrs a day to 9 and now 14 a day! :D Times are tough but I'm a sucker for working!

Machinist in a die shop. We machine and assemble all of the components for engine block and transmission dies.

Always something fun to cut up or pry in my shop.

Bartender/bouncer.

My Emerson goes in my pocket every night before I brave the mean late night streets.

A bouncer with an Emerson. Now that's someone you don't want to mess with.

Saw from your post that you're in Greenville, NC. Really small world as my father is from there originally.

I'm an engineer on a row row car ferry.

Before that 4 years in the navy. Emersons came in handy at both jobs

im in the army now and its the best knife for the job IMO but before that I used to work at a tim hortons (a Canadian coffee/ pastry shop) and they were still a favorite

I'm an area manager for a commercial cleaning company. Although I spend time managing personnel and accounts, I also have to spend time in the warehouse as well as on various sites. So I use my blades for cutting plastic ties, rope, surgical hose, cardboard, etc.

United Methodist pastor on Sundays and whenever something comes up with the flock. Sporting goods warehouse IT & administration grunt Mon-Fri. Steady but boring cutting tasks.

Wealth Management Advisor during the week. RV-Motorhome Traveling/Camping on the weekends. My Emersons see plenty of outdoor use.

Production Supervisor at a major auto maker here in Alabama, love the cqc-7 serves me well there, and while I was active duty army, my 1st 7 went through hell and back but it survived, cant believe it, that knife means the world to me..

Police Officer (K9 Handler).
I can honestly say that most of my chores are more utility and mundane. That is with one exception, when I have to cut a tangled tracking lead at three in the morning while holding control of an 80 pound furry missile. The wave feature pays for itself as well as the chisel edge.

Mostly in IT. I used to use knives a lot to make cables, open packages, cut zip ties...something every day. Now, I sit a computer all day configuring data storage systems, so I mostly let my knives keep me company and help me eat apples :D. Plus, I just feel better knowing I have one on me.
