Balancing on a ledge.. !!

Whats Up Beckerheads??

Yeah I left completely for maybe 3 days, then couldn't help myself and started lurking the other day.. With the addictive personality I have I've had to refrain myself from my edged madness and get things in perspective..:)

Well, I've got a good start business wise with a few pokers in the fire, the music end with Millennial Reign is still the same, I'm really a master of procrastination, besides to be quite honest even though they're signed I really don't know if I'm all that stoked about it, this requires touring etc, and I'm coming in after the music is written and that's not really what I want to do.. oh well I'll ride it out for now..

Anyhow I've played with my newly arrived BK14 a bit more, just whittling and whatnot and have come to the conclusion that though this is an Awesome knife it needs a wrap or scales for prolonged use, or at least use gloves..

I don't have before pics but, I started carving this out of an oak limb that was 1 1/2" diameter, (yeah it took a while) to get to this size.. this is an idea I picked up from a gun show, (the middle needs a palm swell) this is my first attempt, I dried, stained and lacquered it for wear.. I've learned from this one, but I intend to make a proper one for my wife for defense in the school parking lot at night :D

I plan on thrashing this sucker maybe making some scales out of some aged curl maple I have for gun stock, dunno, also considering this as the perfect neck knife, but after reading Mistwalker's take, I may have to buy a necker:eek:and check that out as well, but for me, this will definitely take the place of the Izzy.. I'm loving the blade folks!!

Welcome back TLD!! Glad to see you're still around! Don't get too wrapped around the axle about coming in after the music was written...if there's chemistry with you and the band, there'll be plenty of time to write on the subsequent release!

Anywho...congrats on the BK14, and that's a sweet looking kubaton(sp?)!!
