LM knifes

I have seen them and they seem kind of bulky. They also don't offer much other than a blade a bottle opener and some bits.

I'd rather carry a SAK and a another good knife.

My $.02 ;)

Still, it might be enough to get an LEO to understand that it really is a tool, if a situation ever arises.

I am a knife newbie, and certainly no expert, but I think it looks pretty freaking cool.

I love multitools and SAKs, and do consider SAKs to be part of my knife collection (but not multitools), but them seem like tools with knives built in. This LM knife is a knife with tools built in. The knife is central rather than just one of the many features. And it's locking.

I won't buy one since I keep a knife and a SAK on me at all times anyways, but it is a cool compromise.

Gobs of folks use Leathermans. Very popular. With the small belt sheath they are perfect around the house or garage or shop, IMHO. They come in a variety of flavors from small pocket models to larger ones. Lot of folks in the trades carry them because of the versatility. I have one in the glove compartment of my cars.
