what this about? lmt edition axis version of the echelwietz?

id buy this if it were axis. i got my blue 635 today and apparition.

ilove the 635.. cant put lanyard on it, well...i did but the blade cuts into it when closed..

i dont like the app, and thought i might not, so i sold it on ebay before it arrived. it arrived and im glad its sold. dont like linerlocks really, like the one on my hatamoto, nice and beefy. the regular echelwietz liner lock looks similar to the app's one.

also , with the optimizer, if you loosen the pivot enough to make it work properly you end up with blade play!

nice knife though, just not all round that great and something i can live without. and the edge on it was terrible, not sharp atall, and far from polished edge, more like rough.

i know, i meant id love to have the echelwiez as an axis like the one in the pic as isnt the production one a liner lock.

you still didnt tell me if the avatar is you 'rat finkenstein'

but yeah,is it still available?

Yeah its available, its kinda pricey there were supposed to be 500 made, but there ended up being only 10 made. Ill sell you mine for $850:thumbup:

What a joker!

Yeah that does look like a steroid pumped 690, but it is a great Ares. I have a couple and they're a fantastic knife functionally and stylisticaly. I've never been brave enough to carry them since they look so nice. There were 500 made. Really.

No, it is not me.

why didnt they just make it an axis for the standard model do you think? thanks for the offer i just spent a $1000 on a 42 . why you ask, cos it was on sale!!

if its not you then who is it? seems strange to have some random hairy chested bloke staring at people from all your posts. iguess he is someone i just cant remember

It is Zed from the movie Zardoz, as played by Sean Connery- but I edited in Jerry Busse's face.

Dan,
Punctuation would really help you get replys as your mixed up jumble of words is very hard to read. Also, how can you consistantly mis spell someones name the same way? It's Elishewitz, not echelwiez and he's a very talented knifemaker. I'm not trying to start anything I'm trying to help you get more answers.

Elishewitz/TAD Dauntless, my second one

I always forget the model name of this one, it may be a Cortex. Either way it's sweet.

Sorry off topic, but I just love that Elishewitz/TAD knife!

Are there still any left?

Daniel

Oops, I just looked at TAD's site, and they are now offering a Vallotton/TAD version of the same knife.

I still want one.

Is yours a D/A? The new version states that it is.

There were only 5 in Micarta and 5 in Carbon Fiber to begin with and they were made/sold years ago. Rick Hinderer has done some Dauntlesses too. I don't believe any of the other ones besides the Vallottons were autos.

Let's just hope he doesn't find a Benchmade Spike and start asking about Boguszewski's knives. I'd hate to see how he'd try to spell his name (Burgerowski?).:D

Best wishes,

Just to clarify, it is a 73x that is scaled like a 690, both by allen.

I can't even spell that one so I'd have to stick with Bogi.:)
