Very original, I know.
I need a general use EDC, that won't always be in my pocket, but will have an important spot in the rotation.
I'm not too awfully picky, I just can't stand tacky designs and black "Tactical" blades.
Specs:
- Price Range: 70-130$
- Size: I'm not too picky, as long as it's not a Peanut or an Espada, I'll be fine.
- Blade Shape: Again, not too picky, Just no black coatings.
- Finish: Stonewash/Tumbled is nice, but satin would be just fine as well.
- Misc: I would really prefer it to have a flipper, above all. Also, not too much aggressive jimping.

I'm looking for more or less a list of knives I can go check out and review for myself, 130$ Is probably the price cap for a while.

Thanks in advanced,
Alex.

Spyderco paramilitary 2. it's probably the most versitial folder I have at the moment. fits most of your requirements except for the flipper.

Buck Vantage Pro, CRKT Ripple (SS, not aluminum), CRKT Eros, SOG Twitch XL.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, guys.
Obviously, I'm already aware of knives such as the PM2, and the Mini grip.

Keep em' coming.

(Plus, I would really like a flipper.)

Kershaw Shallot is a favorite of mine. You can find the bead blast version for $50.

Very sleek design, not a large knife, SpeedSafe flipper only, no thumb studs.

But the thumb ripping jimping make the knife work better! Blind Horse Knives Tiger Snap Knapp

Honestly, I can't say that I'm really liking the suggestions so far.

Aside from the standard Paramilitary 2, The knives just seem too unusual. (Namely Kershaw Shallot, and Kershaw Junkyard dog 2)
I like to keep it simple, and the PM2 seems to have just that.
If it had a flipper that would be superb, nonetheless it should be a great knife.

Kershaw Leek or Skyline. Maybe the Piston or Knockout. Buck Vantage Pro has also been suggested already. CRKT M16-Z or M21-02. ZT 0350SW, 0350KW, or 0200KW.

Several of the imported Kershaw items also look pretty good: Zing SS, Volt II, Volt SS, or Clash

The Kershaw Zing (w/ the plain grooved blade) or OD-1 might also be good. Both are discontinued though, so you'll have to check the secondary markets.

You prefer a flipper... Already brought up by others also:

You should check out either the Kershaw Piston or Knockout. USA made, $50 bucks if you shop.

Also, the Buck Vantage Pro, make sure you tell the seller to send you one that has a centered blade though... Very nice knife also USA made.

If you are willing to overlook the flipper and spend more of your budget, Paramilitary 2. It deploys fast once you get it down.

I think he's really trying to avoid black bladed tactical style knives.

You can find the 0350 with an uncoated blade, and removing the spring assist leaves the knife with a buttery smooth flipper action.

ZT 350sw it is assisted though but its a flipper.

I think he's really trying to avoid black bladed tactical style knives.

the ZT350SW has a stonewashed blade, but I guess it still falls under tactical.

I second the JYD, also the Rake. Would the Needs Work be considered tacky? I find the blade shape extremely capable and useful.

Im going to have to say the ZT 0350, there is a stone washed one and BeadBlasted version. And now for a limited time a SW with orange scales. Its a great knife and in your price range.

I think I'm going with the paramilitary 2.
I can defiantly overlook the flipper.

I'm not sure why there isn't a knife with really smooth, refined, lines like the PM2, and still has a flipper.

Oh, well.
Thanks, guys.

I have the Paramilitary 2 and it is fantastic and should be in any collection or EDC rotation. You should also check out the Spyderco Sage 1, 2 and 3. Not flippers but excellent nonetheless. I have the Sage 1 CF.
