This is where I was last Saturday while my wife was at first aid, a requirement for work in her field. Elk Falls Provincial Park, that surrounds John Hart Lake and part of the Campbell River. John Hart Lake was created by the damming of the Campbell, and this dam is the reason for the intense flow over the falls when I was there. The water level of the lakes up the drainage, specifically Upper Campbell and Buttle Lake has risen significantly with the rainfall of late and it was necessary to 'open the flood gates' as they say. Here are some pictures, specifically of the falls, but I did spend a good spell off trail exploring. Much to wet for too much camera action. At the end is a video, so make sure you volume is up.
