Hi all, consider me another that has bought numerous knives and am now making my own by stock removal due to spending time reading threads here. I've got two ready for heat treat from the often recommended 1084 and 3 more soon to be ready for heat treat. I thought it would be easy to just heat them up and get on with it. However, after much time and effort, I'd like to get them "right". So I'm shouting out to any experienced makers a reasonable distance (100 miles) from Smithville, OK that could find the time to help me get my 1084 right the first time. I also have 3 in 440C I'm about to send off for heat treat and should have 2ft of D2 at the PO to tinker with next in addition to the 12ft+ I have remaining in 1084. Yes I have been bitten.

Here's the next 3 I have in progress (1084) I'm searching for a 6-7" fixed edc style I might claim as my own.
