I'm sure dave and mark will be along shortly along with dakruiser and a few others. today in Indiana we had a local get together chop in. 2x4 chop, tennis ball, golf ball, foam tube slice, ect ect ect. well damn it we repped the busse crew hard!!

there were 25 contestants. all different knives used from kershaw, busse, customs, esee, ect.. ect...ect..

Well damn it we repped the busse blades hard!!!!! out of the top five. three were busse's. My brother (Dtrap) finished first! he was rocking a big boy Bill Siegle. He got lucky damn it. I finished Second!! Rocking a Busse B-11 ( I should have ran the stripped version as the coating caused mass sticking) Drbarnes finished 3rd...Also rocking a B-11... he did good. then in 4th place was Dakruiser....He was rocking the Full flat fusion battle mistress. He would have won if he hit the golf ball. It was a great day. Lots of good people, Good blades, and damn good friends.

here is my video and a few pics of the blades I had out there. It was a great day in Indiana.

As I've known it since my first days here, Bill Siegle make one heck of a knife! :)

Looks like fun. I love that you were sporting the gun strong side the whole time. Any issues with it getting in the way?

Bill definitely makes a great blade!! he may not have won minus the fact that the siegle blade used was a couple 3 inches longer and a bit thicker. however for 5160 it held a sick edge and preformed extremely well!!!! We have about 6 of his blades and they preformed very well!

And no the vast majority of us hoosiers carry. It was never in the way. just as normal it was a part of me. carried well while beating the other steel :)

Awesome!

Really diggin the S.F.4.L. shirt too. Need to get myself included in that fantasy.

You had some good people with you as well, one of which has a very cool beer can hog helmet.

busse probably represented at least 10 of the 25 contestants :) N2K the serrated family held it down like whoa for sure! get at us brother.

I run into the Man from Camden often. In ATL before the show I got to put my grubby paws on that sick orange scaled masterpiece. Then in Vegas (recently) not only did I chat with him a bit at the gathering, we walked and talked while boarding the plane home from LAS to BNA.
It's fate that I get more involved in unicorn hunting.

Why wasn't I invited?

Just kidding. Hopefully I can make it next time. Of course, I said that the last time, and the time before that. :o

I was a good day for sure, I ran an old school Swamp Rat Battle Rat with res-c grips. This was my first chop in, but is not going to be the last for sure! I did better than I expected but more importantly I had a hell of a lot more fun than expected! I def have the knife bug now (have purchased 3 blades this week over 2 bills, which isn't a lot for you guys, but new for me). Anyway on to pics...hopefully I will find more tomorrow....here is a pic of the Rat I ran and the knives I carried on me all day, lol.

Looks like so much fun.

I would love to chop in one one of those.

Must have been "open class" with no length?

I would probably try my KZII. But I have a B11 as well.

My old FBMLE with a convex edge would have done well too, I think.

Next time open it up to the Illinois Boys and Girls too and I'll bring a chopper or two...
Looks like lots of fun, glad everyone went home with all their fingers and toes :)

That looks like a great time, thanks for posting the video.

Can someone put me on the mailing list for future events? It would be fun to try my hand.

Like to see how a 1311 does in the future.

We were hopping to have one for the chop in but unfortunately no one had one yet :(

I just hope my hair grows back quick and all those damn little cuts heal soon :o

Good job guys! Indiana looks like so much fun...

Among my dream chopper blades, a triple-F BM, satin or stripped, is number one (time to call the shop?). For wood chopping, anyway...

What RMJ model is that is that? That's a great size reference photo and hot damn, look at all that chopping potential...

It was a great time for sure. good friends, food, and knives. not sure it gets much better. this was set up by a group of us on the local gun forum. we all hang out in the knife section there and this is the second event. we all had a blast. here is a link to a lot more pictures and even pictures to the first one. this is my run last year with the BWM. If you scroll down there is a ton of video's from the first event. Hopefully there will be more video's from this one but my phone ran out of storage :(
