Local Knife Shops for Kershaw nuts?

Hey guys,
i constantly hear everyone on this forums talking about how they went down to their local knife shop and were able to handle these great kershaws before deciding which to take home. are there any such shops in the DC, MD, VA area that carry a big enough selection of kershaws to make the trip worthwhile?

i will occasionally visit knifecenter in college park, but usually only to pick up something i have already ordered, and in most cases i trust their judgement for picking out a good specimen.

anyway, all you locals....speak up!

Do you have a Sportsman's Warehouse close by?
The one around here has a good deal of Kershaws.
 
i checked. roughly 6 hours by car..... i have a vacation coming up sometime in the near future....i may just have to take a roadtrip.

keep it going.
 
New Graham knives/pharmacy in Bluefield, Va. I went up this past Monday and bought a Cyclone, they have alot of everything, (Emerson, Kershaw, Spyderco, ZT, etc) and pretty good burgers too. Website is newgraham.com
 
thanks clintg, i think the pharmacy motorcycle mentioned is one and the same. speaking of them, do they have an actual showroom? can you ask to unbox and hold any of their knives before making a decision?
 
Slade, it's the same one, and yes, from personal experience you can spend hours in there...Mary Beth and Annie are really patient, and with over 11,000 knives in stock (I think that was the figure Mike told me on my last visit there) there's a lot to look at...Imagine an average sized 7-eleven. Now take all that crap and throw it out the door, and put in rows and rows of knife displays. And don't forget to take a break and grab some chow from the lunch counter...great food, too!

If you're gonna spend 6 hours driving, I'd make sure I had as much time in there as possible, and zero balances on all your credit cards. My last trip was around $ 600 worth, and all were Kershaws. I can't remember their store hours, but I do remember the lunch counter closes at 3!
