Local Pawn shop has a 940 and I need some advice

It looked at it. It seems like it is in medium shape. No problem with function but the scales are noticeably darker. The pocket clip was silver and the backspacer blue. The blade steel is 154cm. Which would make it an older knife, I think. I didn't have much time to look at it because I had an appointment to make. I think I will try and look at it again tomorrow. They wanted $120 total for it. The cruise ship store sells them new for approx 140 + shipping. I am not sure what to do.

I would shoot for the new one. Although a older BM would be cool, you don't know exactly what is up with the knife. Plus for an extra $20 you can keep that knife in any condition you want. I would go for a new one but that might just be me.

I had one in 154CM and one in S30V, and I much preferred the 154CM. Plus that one isn't made anymore so it has some collectibility to it. I'd see if they'd take $100 and go for it!

^^^yup... Offer them $85-100 and if they say no, just go get a new one for that much. It might be "collectable" if it was in Like New condition but once it's used and beat up, that price needs to drop accordingly

You can get one for as low as $128 BRAND NEW if you know where to look

It has $139 on it and they offered it to me for $120. I would probably pay $100 for it but $120 is really more than I want to pay for it. IDK if I could get it for less.

Thanks, I found "that place" Hmmm, my math is bad. I thought "that place" gave a 25% discount with coupon but it seems to be a more like 27-28% discount.
