I'm sold on the Eskabar, but don't want to wait for amazon to ship it. Anyone know of any stores that carry them? I'm going to Gander Mtn. today. I'm not too optimistic, but I haven't been there in years so who knows I guess...

I'm almost 100% postitive you won't find it any any sporting goods or outfitter store. My guess is that you'll have to go to a dedicated cutlery store to find one. Where do you live?
 
I've yet to find any in a physical store. I convinced a guy at the knife counter at a Cabela's to talk with their management about getting some in, but I'm pretty sure that goes through corporate purchasing.
 
I found a BK11CSM at a local surplus store a while ago. I asked them if I could see said Becker and if they had anymore. They had no idea what a Becker was. I guess they just happened to have that knife in their case on accident.

I would have to say a high end cutlery shop would have Beckers.
 
i ordered a fiberglass-pen for cleaning circuit boards last nite, and it arrived less than 24 hours later. i didn't pay extra, beyond having a prime membership.

with normal prime $4 is next day, else it's two days, like clockwork. cheaper than gas in the long run for me. i can't see how THEY do it :)

If you had not spent the extra time asking around on the web for a local dealer you could have already placed your order with Amazon and the knife would probably be well on it's way to you...

oh seriously, i've had HUNDREDS of pounds of merch sent, some cheap, some not, and no added shipping, and TWO DAYS to boot. often less with the local shipping depot.

it's worth the simple yearly fee...

some people find the free access to movies/tv/music nice, and of course, various perks for kindle owners, and what not.

they make it really hard to want to brave traffic, and a store, wasting gas, in the hopes of finding something at full MSRP + tax...
 
Yeah wish that had them in stores, would make it easier to buy and get in the house if it didn't come in the mail!

I do see becker and kbar for sale on walmarts websire now. Maybe soon they will carry them in store.

have it sent to work, or a friends house (warning them it's for you ;>) or ... other methods.

shame you have to sneak it in :D

buy two! one as a bribe...
