Local store grand opening - Benchmade engraving knives

A new gun & knife store is having their grand opening tomorrow. They are going to have a Benchmade rep there and will be offering free knife engraving.

Any suggestions on questions to ask the BM rep or quotes to have engraved. I haven't decided which of my Benchmade knives to have inscribed yet - I have to pick ones I am certain I will never sell.

Tbh, the only thing I can think of is to think back and see if there is anything that a father figure has said that stands out to you, and go from there.

My 12 year old son wants "miles Christi sum" (I am a soldier of Christ) and/or "este paratus"(be prepared - the Boy Scout Motto) inscribed on his mini grip.

I am trying to find something witty although "ad augusta per angusta" (through difficulties to greatness) is a possibility as is "resurgam" (I will rise again -- the motto inscribed over St Paul's cathedral in London).

Just don't put your name on the blade. I like the Templar motto: Non Nobis Domine, meaning not us, Lord. (It's in your name only.)
