I sit right in between Lexington & Ashland, about 60 mi on each side. Outside of Galls in Lexingtion which carries a few spydercos I haven't seen them anywhere else.

Is there anyone familiar with the area that knows of a dealer in driving distance? Thanks.

AC,
You may also want to be sure to attend the CKKC knife show in Lexington at the Continental Inn, Aug 11-13

AC, there's also a kiosk in Fayette Mall (can't think of the name)that usually has a few Spyderco models. I think they currently have a Police, Rookie, Shabaria, Native, and maybe a couple more. I must warn you, however, that they're ridiculously overpriced compared to the online dealers and have a much smaller selection. Good luck in your pursuit of Spydies.

Antique and Modern Firearms on Nicholasville Road usually has a decent selection of Spydercos and Benchmades. Plus a small assortment of other stuff (usually at least one Randall). I can't say their staff is very knife knowledgable in general though. More gun knowledge than many places.

Phillip Gall's (which is not to far from Gall's) usually has a few.

The name of the kiosk in Fayette Mall is "The Edge, Adventure Gear". Or at least used to be. They are good folks to deal with.

None of these places carry a big assortment of higher end Spydercos. You might catch some nice stuff at Antique and Modern, right after they get their shipment. I know the folks at the Edge would probably order whatever you want.

Good luck.

Thanks for all of the help. I've been buy "The Edge" shop. Everything I saw was extremely overpriced. The price on the Native was more like the price of the Native IIs I've seen on line.

Anyone know what time the show at the continental starts?

The Edge is overpriced compared to online dealers. I used to work in Fayette Mall, and the rent for a kiosk space was outrageous then. The nice thing about supporting a "brick and mortar" dealer is the opportunity to handle the knife and hand pick the one you want. If you are looking for a low price, definitely the CKKC show is the only way to go in Lexington. It usually starts around lunch time on Friday. Saturday is the day to go, though. Some dealers work on Fridays, and others leave early on Sunday. It is primarily old, traditional pocketknives with a little modern production stuff. There has been more and more handmade stuff there lately. MJ&S used to set up there (back when they were just J&S). I wish Mark would start attending some of the local knife shows again. You can catch him at some of the knife shows around, especially Dayton. His prices are certainly hard to beat.
