Got my Lochsa. Was quite excited to get it. Have half a dozen custom 110's so I knew it would be good.
1. I have never seen another 110 production or custom shop with this high a level of fit and finish.
2. The Lochsa has the highest quality G10 I have ever seen.
3. The thumb studs are near useless as the resistance from the locking mechanism makes opening the knife a form of thumb weightlifting.
4. Why no cut out thumb access machined into the G10 right below the thumb studs?
5. The thumb studs should have been a touch larger and knurled.
6. Blade centering is perfect out of the box.
7. My simple custom shop 110's all have such little mechanical resistance from the locking mechanism opening them with the pad of my thumb is no problem. Why is the Lochsa stuck with the stiff mechanical resistance of a regular production 110?
8. After owning the Lochsa a couple months opening it via thumb stud has gotten a tad easier.
9. Am trying to find a source for knurled steel replacement thumb stud and someone to mill a thumb access contour into the G10.
10. If the new G10 option on custom shop 110's gives you G10 as high quality as on the Lochsa I will be putting in an order as soon as I can confirm it.
11. The hand brushed nickel bolsters are gorgeous. The hand finishing of the G10 contour is flawless.
12. BOS heat treated S30V blade on the Lochsa features perfect and even edge on both sides.
13. Any 110 with a Kwik Clip thumb stud is far easier to use and works through the mechanical resistance upon open 10 times better.
