I recently came across a folder made by Scott Cook knives, http://www.scottcookknives.com/index.html

It is described as

The Lochsa Folder is uniquely made from one solid piece of titanium with a creative design that has taken the Frame and Liner Lock© to the next level. With the combination of smooth flowing lines and fully contoured handle, the Lochsa has the ergonomics and feel of a solid, working folder. Following Scott's fixed blade line, the Lochsa has simplicity and elegance and adds a unique look, not only to Scott Cook Knives, but also to the custom knife industry with a durable and truly integral folder.

When i saw this I instantly thought of a sebenza, now I don't want to get flamed majorly for this but it seems like this is like and improved version of a sebenza. I don't know what the pros and cons are for a solid titanium body but it is a beautiful knife. I wanted to know if the chris reeve community has heard of it, and what they think of it. For those of you who don't know i am a big fan of Chris Reeve knives, and I love everything they do.

Scott Cook worked for Chris Reeve and the Reeves know and approve of the Lochsa design.
It is a very high-end custom design which doesn't really compete with CRK. It is part of that culture.

Hello! And welcome to 2004!

:foot: :p

I own and carry sebbies also but there is also another maker in Italy that makes a one piece folder they call SR-1 by Lion Steel. Incorporates a lot of the modern design and really nice. just too large for my taste. Similar to the Locsha.

My most desired blade. My grail knife I guess. Ill never get one because they are just too darn expensive, plus I couldnt use it:P

Well, excepeting the "integral" concept, I don't see any similarities with the Lochsa. The Lochsa is composed by the less pieces possible, the SR-1 is loaded with screws, holes and gizmos
What I really like about the Lochsa is that's a very elegant knife, but rock solid too.
