Guys,
I'm dreaming about Scott Cook Lochsa for more than year. Now I have possibility to buy one, but is quite expensive. On the other hand I have money for her - but I'd like to ask you - what price would you pay for this beautiful knife?
It is one from first 25 made, number 8.
I don't know how to enter pictures here, sorry, you can see it on this link:

Thank you.

I would pay $900 at most if this was a knife I couldn't live without.

If it really speaks to you, then my advice is to buy it. They are great knives, and they will always have their place in history. You aren't likely to lose much fiscally over the long haul, and anything you do lose will probably be offset by the pleasure of ownership.

At one time I owned number 9 of 25. Just a heads up, these 25 were not the first made. They were the first production run of 25. Their were 10 IIRC 'prototypes'. Scott and his brother have a couple and the rest are in collections around the world.

Price-wise, I haven't a clue anymore. Recent sales of vanilla flavoured and dressed up Lochsa's have gone through the roof.

I do hope you are able to get the knife you want.

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to resell it for quite a lot or even a profit at some point if you change your mind.

If it is less than $1000USD, it's probably a good deal if you really want the knife. Even if you don't keep it, I bet you could re-sell it pretty fast around here or on Ebay for a profit.

I assure you that these currently do not sell for around a grand. Maybe two years ago but lately prices have gone crazy. I suspect this one would at a minimum go for $1500. Check out Cooks website. ;)

I think they are beautiful knives, but if you plan on using the knife I would pass. They make a nice collectors piece, but they are a pretty simple knife for a couple grand. Totally not worth it imo. This is coming from someone that does spend 400-500 on a single knife. If it aint used I dont find a knife special. Cook's knives are worth too much to use imo
