Lock back spring, how to replace??

Hey,

I have gathered some of my fathers old knives, and one of them is a pacific cutlery laredo. It's a nice lockback folding gentlemans knife, but the spring is completely missing from this knife so the blade won't lock. Is it possible to replace the spring myself rather then send it to benchmade? If so, how do I go about doing it and where can I get the spring from? I searched "replace lockback spring" but got nothing. I would appreciate the help.

I would give Benchmade a call first.
If they can't help you, I can.

Ya, I did give them a call, and they would do it for free, but figured it would be neat to be able to do it myself since it was my fathers knife and all. Does it require drilling the pins out and all? Figured I could maybe just get a spring and shove it in there with some finesse ;). What does it entail?

It entails disassembly of the knife-not a home project.

Alright, I guess I will let benchmade do it. So you basically have to drill out all the pins (since they can't screw out) and then redo it? I will send it to benchmade either way as I do not want to screw up my fathers knife.
