lock back

Buck 110 is good choice for a more traditional style lockback folder.
I got one, and put an EZ Stud on it for one handed opening.
But, like someone else said, they are heavy, and big.

what about the buck 110 ecolite

Buck makes some very nice lockbacks with lightweight synthetic handles for well under 50 dollars, including some one hand opening models. They have the usual lifetime Buck warentee.

The AUS-8 KA-BAR mule runs about $45. Tough knife made for work, but is a little large for a pocket (around 5in long and weighs .5 lb). The buck 110, or any of buck's lockbacks are super knives as well

Ontario RAT1 if you can find one.
Buck 110 never caused me any problems opening - pinch spine between thumb & forefinger with the tip up and snap down so the weight of the handle drops into your palm.
Kershaw has several decent offerings, too.
Go to Wally World and handle several of the offerings in their knife case to see what feels best in hand.

I suggest you break the piggy bank and find $18 more to get a CS American Lawman. It's as good, if not better, than the mid or top shelf knives I own and I paid $68 for it, shipped. It is now my EDC and favorite knife.

Kershaw Black Colt 2. I think mine is just a great no frills user. Solid and well built it is also comfortable to grip. Check them out.

I agree, the CS AL is a great knife. Very solid and very good F&F. handles very well.

Lately I have been loving the Delica 4 FFG, light, easy to open, fits my hand really well, and it's not too big so it doesn't scare people. Oh, and the blade locks up super tight too, I always thought they looked kind of cheap and that is what I was expecting, but that is definitely not the case.
