Lock backs?

Hello there everyone. I have become very accustomed to letting my enduras and delicas fall shut on my pointer finger because of how far back the choil is when closed. I do not like liners, don't mind compression, and feel like after 10 years of endura in my pocket I whip it open and shut faster than I can a compression lock. Set in my ways I would like to know if the manix lock back, native, stretch, or any others have a coil that comes back this far to safely drop it on my finger. I love the "R" and have 2 but they just sit in a case because if I accidentally try the same with them I will loose that pointer finger.
Thanks

Yes, all of those knives have a choil so you can safely drop the knife on your finger.

Personally, that is a habit I have tried not to develop because if I use a knife that does not have that feature I might cut myself unwittingly. Spyderco back locks can be closed one handed very fast by closing them similar to a liner lock. I put my index finger in the hole, depress the lock, and guide the blade down, then rotate the knife slightly and either put my thumb in the hole and close the knife, or press the spine of the blade (more often) with my index finger and close the knife. There are a couple of other methods, as well, but this is how I do it.

As far as I know that is the Spyderco way of closing one of their lockbacks and I also close a Comp lock the exact same way. I had an R and could close it the same. The only one that was sorta close to cutting me was the Vesuvius and I had to make certain of index finger placement.

All the ones you mentioned would fill your requirements except they have liners. Except for earlier Natives, maybe...I think.

I think he meant to say he doesn’t like liner locks.

Yup, I think you're correct...sorry for confusion

I'll clarify my comment...

All the knives the OP mentioned are back locks <mid locks>...none are liner locks. And they're fine users...all of 'em!
