Lock bar engagement

The lock on my large Sebenza has gone over pretty far. It's not touching the opposite scale, but the lock pretty much touches the full width of the blade save for a very small section. Is this normal? Should I send it back to have it readjusted? If I do send it back, how do they readjust something like that? Or should I just leave it as it probably makes the lockup even stronger? It doesn't really bother me too much, I was just curious as to what other people would do. Thanks in advance for any help.

If you check this thread:

you will find someone with a similair issue.

In this thread you'll find several comments from CRK, like:

Hello John,

The lock on your Sebenza is absolutely great!! Broadly speaking, the more locking bar there is behind the blade, the stronger it is - the only time it would become a problem is if there were any galling (the locking bar was difficult to move aside) or if there were play in the blade. We generally say a 50% to 75% travel is good and within tolerance and even though yours is over 75% it is still absolutely fine!

If either of the two problems mentioned above occur - be sure to send the knife back to us to check it over!

Take care
Anne

So no worries, but if you're not happy with it, just send it back and they will check it for you.

And thinking about your question on how it could be fixed ...

Maybe your stop pin has flattened a bit, so they could rotate it (you can do that yourself), or they can install a stop pin with a slightly larger diameter. That would stop the blade earlier, leaving less room for the lock-bar to travel. But, I don't know how that would impact closing, cause then the blade also can't travel as far as normal, so the ball-bearing might not work 100% then...
