Lock bar goes all the way over

I just bought a new custom cqc-7. $1250...
The lock up is 80% when I'm gentle. If I wave it, snapping it open, it goes 100% and it's almost
impossible to disengage. Any suggestions or similar experiences? Love everything else about the knife
but the lockup sucks. Thanks..
