Lock Bar Insert On 0561?

Today I looked on the Zero Tolerance website and it stated that the 0561 had a steel lock bar insert. I was always aware that it had a stabilizer, but I never knew it had an insert. Is this a change they recently made? On all the reviews on the 0561 I've seen they don't have an insert.

Do any of you have-not have inserts on your knife?
 
The hardened steel lockbar insert is a seemingly standardized feature now on all new ZT designs. At the same time, they appear to be updating all older models still in production with the same standardized feature.

New production 560 series knives will have it. I've seen some pics of recently purchased 550's on another board that have been updated with the lockbar insert as well, and there's no mention if that on ZT's webpage.
 
Actually there is a mention of that on ZT's webpage... for the 0561 it says "The titanium frame lock, with steel lockbar insert and lockbar stabilizer, ensures a rock-solid lockup every time."

Do any of you know when they started adding this feature onto the 0561? Do you think if I ordered on right now I would most like likely get an older version?
 
Is the insert screwed in? (ie: replaceable?)

Is it silly to worry about "insert failure"?

From the pictures I have seen, the insert does look replaceable; its just screwed in. What do you mean by insert failure?
 
It will depend on what kind of #'s they have in stock as to whether or not you will get one with the insert or not. Some places may only keep a couple in stock while others keep dozens.

Thanks for the info. By failure I mean falling out of the knife unintentionally. Is that a possibility?

I've taken the screw out of my 801 and the insert didn't fall out. I'm sure they have loctite on the screws from the factory as well.

Jeez, does no one search anymore? This question is asked every week.

0560/1, 030x etc got lock bar inserts this year. They are the same as on their other models and are not technically replaceable. They have a pressure fit pin holding them in in addition to the screw.
