So I just bought a large 21 with micarta and love the knife. But the lock bar is sticking in the locked position pretty hard. I have been playing with it for about five days now and it has not gotten any better. It is still very hard to disengage the lock. What can I do about this?
Thanks!

The correct answer is send it back in to CRK.
You may get mixed results from this.

I've had this problem on 2 large Sebenzas.
Both were about 75-80% lockup.

I gently pulled the Ti lockbar outboard a little, 1/8", with knife open.
Then let it return back to lock.
I repeated this process a few times until it was locking up at 55-60%.
It seems to have cured the problem.
That was two years ago. Still the same today, perfect.

I'm also a thumb flicker. Makes it easier to flick open gently, less pressure.
(Chris Reeve approves of thumb flicking open with no wrist movement).

Anyway your call, JMHO - Ron

Sometimes if the knife is overlubed it causes the lockbar to slip down a little further than usual and it can get jammed.

I've noticed this happening on my Seb the last couple times I cleaned and lubed it.

After 5 days though seems like this may not be the case for you but thought I'd mention it anyway.

Rub the back of the tang with a pencil. The graphite should help the sticking.

My new large 21 was a bit sticky at first, I took it apart lubed it, and re-assembled and adjusted the pivot until it was perfectly smooth and fast opening. I played with it for another day or so (50-60 openings) and lock-up and unlock is very smooth and solid.
