  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Are there lock pick designers or individual tools like Mad Bob's & Sparrows Lock Picks?

Not just sellers or general lock picks like southord or the other general makers.

The more creative/custom/unique ones.

There is a bit of a boutique market, stuff like the bogata tools, or different styles of "entry card" business cards that some guys pass out. I don't know any names off the top of my head, but I'm guessing that in the competition world there are also designers. There are so many niches to lockpicking, locksport, pen-testing, covert entry (police/gov't), and just straight up locksmithing that I'm certain there are names that would come up in each community of tool makers. Same as any other hobby that has different brackets. Like cars, many people know the name Caroll Shelby, but they may not all know him for the same reasons.
