lock question

on my large sebenza whenever i open the blade normally it covers about 40 to 50 % of the blade but if i push the lock bar i can get it to cover the whole blade, is this normal should it be able to do that??

thanks for clearing that up cause i was reading an old thread on framelocks and they said the best framlocks wont budge after a certain point and should not be able to travel the entire distance of the blade
 
Just so you dont panic when you buy your next Sebby, there may be a slight varience from knife to knife. My large doesnt go as far as my small.
 
Yeah, each Sebenza varies. When I still had my small, the lockbar wouldn't go past about 70%-75% while my large would go all the way w/o touching the opposite handle slab. My current one covers all the way as well.
