Lock question

I just got a Lg Pheasent Tail.The lock seems to stick when engaged.I know that Ti galls against steel but this one sticks very tight at times.Is there an easy fix for it.I have not yet taken it down for a cleaning and lube so that may fix it up.I also noticed that they started adding the date on the inside on the lock side scale or at least thats what I figure it to be.The knife was made Apirl 04 and it has A04 stamped inside the scale.

A04 means that your knife was made in the first quarter of 2004, so either January/February/March 2004. If I recall correctly from a conversation with Bridget, the date on the card is the date the knife was boxed up.

The sticking lock is normal, you can smooth it up by rubbing the lock face with a lead pencil.

The Ti on your lock face is hardened , so it wont gall. As to the sticking , give your sebbie a nice bath in some warm soapy water then dry it and lightly lube the lock face; youll be good as new after that. Im sure its just a little lint causing your problem , because i know each sebbie is highly inspected before shipment and im yet to hear of a bad sebbie that slipped thru. So good luck and enjoy.

Oh so sweet.I love being able to take apart a knife and serviceing it my self.
Lock problem is fixed.I belive it was because the Pivot pin screw and stop pin screw was loose.They were just snugged up and not tightened,I used almost no preasure at all to unscrew them.The spacer screw was as it should be.
Anyway I took it down cleaned and oiled it put it back together and,well I think I already said sweeeet.
Ya just gotta love these things.
