Lock side swaping and blade finishing?

Here is the knife in question:

So what I want to know is if anyone has ever tired to switch the lock side scales between two hinderers (like gen3 to gen 3 or gen4 to gen 4). Reason being is I love the one above but I would rather have the stone washed finish and I am wondering if I could just swap it with another gen 3 with stone washed finish.

If it can work, anyone got a gen 3 stone wash they want to trade?! hah

Secondly, this blade has a semi-polish finish and I was thinking of hand rubbing it or acid washing it, both or neither. Any thoughts or suggestions? Open to ideas.

I'm just going to add that each blade is hand fitted to each lock, they are not interchangeable with other locksides. Also there is a separate forum for commerce on BladeForums, this is not the place.
