Lock stick on Paramilitary 2 HELP!

I'm the proud owner of a black on black Paramilitary 2. I've had the knife about a year and it's been an awesome user blade. A few weeks ago, the girlfriend and I decided to have a fire in the back yard. I used the PM2 for prepping some wood, and put it on the ground with intentions of putting it back in my pocket after. Naturally, I was distracted and preoccupied...before I knew it, it was the next day and I couldn't for the life of me find my beloved PM2! After three days including one with rain, I found the knife and to my delight, there was no signs of rust! However...the lock now sticks whenever the blade is deployed with substantial speed! I disassembled the knife and inspected lock contact surfaces, and none of them appear marred or rusty or anything. Cleaned them anyway, and oiled everything with the same annoying stick as a result. Any ideas how to restore my smooth lock disengagement? All help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Jon

Decrease the "speed" of deployment? Or you can send it in.

mine had that, The thing that worked the best was to put graphite on it. that and over time it got better. Also, I dont know if this is true for everyone, but when i oiled it and got some on the compression lock, it made it more sticky

My lock was sticky as hell out of the box. This worked for me. Not perfectly at first, but it has since loosened up further. It's great now.

I had the same issues with my black/camo PM2 out of the box. I was eventually able to work everything out by using graphite (pencil lead) on the locking surface and rotating the stop bar until I found the sweet spot.
