Andrew Demko tests the Benchmade Bedlam (with the AXIS lock) alongside the Cold Steel Talwar equipped with the Tri-Ad lock!

Very surprised to see the Axis fail on the spinewhack..

Would love to see the Spyderco compression lock and the Sebenza 25/Umnumzaan framelock variation tested at some point in the future.

I will for sure buy more Cold Steel products. These knives are well priced and are made to be used.Lock strength is just one part of equation.Cold steel grinds most of their knives properly so they cut really well,I love their grinds. No bs.knives! Excellent job.

I'm not to surprised to see the benchamade fail on spinewhack do to its spring there's not much force pushing the lock and holding it in place but I am surprised to see the cold steel beat it on weight holding.

Cold steel please test the buck 830 markman.

Awesome test.
I think the Adamas has a deeper seated lock and may fare better.
Thank you so much.
Cant wait to see more.

LoL more suspenseful than watching Game of Thrones. I was really afraid that the Talwar was gonna lose. Glad it made it.

The axis lock is my biggest turn off for benchmade. That tiny spring.

Sadly blade grinds seems to be an area they are slipping... I'm holding on to my AUS-8 Cold Steel's until I see evidence this has been resolved. (with the exception of the 4-max cause I just can't wait on that one!)

Great vid. Fair. Demko is a good dude and is very humble during the test and doesn't brag. This is exactly how tests should be done.

Two killer knives, I want both of them. The Talwar is much more my budget though.

I'd be interested to see how the Benchmade Adamas & Spyderco paramilitary 2 do in one of these tests. Cold Steel, please make it happen!

I've only had two benchmades. Loved the designs and the way the lock functions. But then the omega springs broke simply from every day use. I never abused the knives or even put them to hard use. If they could make the omega springs more durable I would be inclined to buy another benchmade but right now its not an option. Living in Norway its just too expensive to ship the knife in for warranty so even though they got some sweet designs I will stick to other brands. And on that note I love my new American Lawman.
