  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

i haven't been able to find any info on this; maybe Sal or someone else knows: any idea how many lbs. it took for the lock to fail on the Jot Singh Khalsa? did Spyderco do a test on it and if so, what were the results. just wondering cause i love my little Jot (no puns please!), and take it out to play with whenever i can (okay just had to make that joke). hope someone knows, or do you think the company would have a record of that kind of thing?

Kelt34 - I don't know offhand, but it must have held to our minimum standard for that size blade. Which would be in the 250+ inch/lbs.

wow, thanks Sal. i didn't know it would be in that range! now i love it even more! geez, and to think my CS voyager is nowhere near as nice or as strong!

Kelt, the number Sal quoted is a torque. The weights that CS hang off their folders iare forces. If you calculate the torque that the CS hanging weights generate they are very high. Sal has commented that some of the larger CS folders exceed the Spyderco upper limit of 400 in-lbs of torque.
