Demko's Tri-Ad lock is my favorite. Man, I like and trust that design.

That said, I have one frame lock, one button-locking automatic knife, a handful of liner locks, one OTF, some plain old-fashioned lock backs, some slip joints. Each one is useful and entertaining in their own right, but I simply prefer the Tri-Ad lock and the knives that use them more than the others.

tri-ad is my favorite lock. I also like shark lock, scorpion lock...yeah lot 'o' Demko designed locks...

I'm good with other locks. my least favorite is the axis and copies, but im okay with them also......

Lockback, from the choices available. I agree with Hugo, that the Tri-ad lock is tops.

I like Axis/crossbar locks, too.

I had a framelock try to unlock on me. It was my fault for trying to cut conveyor belt skirting with a dull knife (!), instead of going to find the right tool. Still though, whatever I can do to protect myself from my own stubborn attitude of "I will make it work", is good.

I choose the lockback as my favorite/preferred, especially the Tri-ad lock. I have more knives with the lockback than any other locking system. I also like slipjoints and carry both every day.

I use knives with all types of locks and I honestly can't say I have a favorite type of lock. There are lots of factors that go into my choices of knives, but lock type is extremely low on the list as long as it's a well made knife because I never depend on any folding knife's lock to keep me safe. Probably why I prefer a fixed blade anytime it's an option.

If I have to choose from the list in the poll it would be lockback. Nothing to do with strength or type of action, but much more because it doesn't affect how the knife handles or feels in my hand at all ... frame lock, liner lock, even axis lock, or compression lock all affect how the knife feels in your hand in some way.

I don't seem to carry my liner locks much. No reason. Over the last 4 years, I've gravitated to a fixed as part of edc.
Otherwise, I've done well with which ever lock I carry.

I like axis and compression locks too. But am also liking spydercos seki city lockbacks. I find those easy to manipulate with one hand. Can't say the same for my buck 110. Not a fan of liner locks, one closed on my finger

Man that depends on the knife. A well executed frame lock is magical. The speed of a finely tuned axis is super handy. The Triad lock is about as strong as you can make a folder.

So I will go with the one that locks the folder the most securely and go with the lock back/triad.

I like the thick liner locks on the Resilience, and the military models.
but I'm not technically married to any specific lock, however don't see myself venturing out much from liner locks, framelocks, and lockbacks. They work well enough For me

Axis, bolster lock, liner locks: these three are my fav's. Reason: I have this fetish of preferring both sides of a folder to look similar (except for a clip). I dislike the concept of a show side and lock side.
