Lock-Up Question

Unfortunately, my son Brandon is back from HI for a week due to an unforeseen court date with his "ex."

He told me his lock bar was still appeared a little early to him on the lock-up. I asked him if it has moved at all (deeper in) and he told me not a bit.

I photographed the knife when I had it (a real gem IMO) and I told him it was probably fine and would wear in more. So here it is when it arrived and is unchanged according to him.

Some guys at USN said to smack a Strider into a wooden shipping pallet and that would set the lock deeper - that sounds too "rad" for us guys though.

Is this a decent lock-up? You guys would know a lot more than me. Thanks! :)

I have a couple XM-18's and both lockup Just Like Yours. This is the Normal Standard Hinderer Lockup and you have nothing to worry about.

Thanks guys. I've never had one. My JYD2 Ti & ZT 0301 hit about 50% so I thought this was a fair question to ask. I appreciate the confirmations. :)

Yea, so does mine...
exactly the same on my 3.5", but for my 3" non-flipper custom it locks up around 30% which does give a little more comfort...

I like lock up shots! :D

They're all a little bit different as far as engagement goes, but one thing they all have in common.....They lock up vault tight, that should be the main concern!

i had my xm for about 3 years iirc, and the lock up remained just like yours the entire time.

Mine is a little farther over but at long as it locks up solid I would think it is pretty bullet proof.
