swift, easy, silent ability to enter and leave, with no "sign" of your passage can be of far more value than chopping wood. or making fires. :-)

As nice as that sounds, not everyone is allowed to buy, own and carry a lock picking gun. And there are many places where it is strictly illegal with stiff penalties.

I am in the dark as to what the 'lockaid gun' is - please excuse my lack of knowledge. In all honesty, how warm can it keep me .... safe from hypothermia?

Thanks for responding.

I had to Google this. It's a lock picking thingy. I guess you could risk breaking into someones property during an emergency, not sure I would risk it myself... shotgun blasts to the face from the property owner are detrimental to my survival

Thanks for info ....

Hey alewn

I think you are a troll. You have a half life and it is short here on BF.

He talks a lot about devices to break into places, and claims having spent time in solitary confinement as a survival skill.

I won't be listening to any of his "wisdom," and advise everyone else to ignore the crap he posts as well.

Sorry folks I thought it was a well known term. Being caught with one is in many jurisdictions evidence of intent to burgle. Some few can have them such as myself, law enforcement, firefighters and locksmiths. My tools are for surreptitious vehicle entry and repossession. A lawful use.

Hey there Michael ... I am always appreciative of knowledge, however surreptitious ...

Oh boy ... this individual is so clearly a troll. If only he had a sense of humour that I could enjoy ... but, alas, not.

Susan, staff has been made aware of the issues and problems will be dealt with if and when the time is right. Now post some paddling pictures!

Hey! Next on my spring list is sanding the 'waterpup' and applying the decals ... and then onto the river. OK ... some flotation concerns ... haha. This captain will go down with the ship ... but not so sure about the pups? They are all floaters.

See the FAQ, posting rules
Don't do something illegal, or post about illegal activities.

That means no threads about importing switchblades & balisongs to Canada, buying ballistic knives, or similar. No posting of warez, kiddie porn, or CC fraud.
