I'm having a go at a lock back and was wondering. How do i get the spring to stay in? It's a tight fit, i have to hammer it in but after playing with it a bit it wiggles it's way out.

Thanks in advance.

I did a lock back kit about 3 weeks ago, but it came with a different spring setup...it was all one piece. Perhaps a drop of CA glue once you get it in place where you want it?

CA glue won't hold it.
You can stake it in place with a center punch.
In the picture, you have it installed backwards. Maybe that's why it keeps coming out.

Also, here is one of the write ups I used for reference:

It appears he used flat stock the same thickness as the larger piece and precision cut the opening for the spring to slide in with a tight fit.

Thanks for the info grizzly.

Backwards, how do you mean?

If I were you I would file a slot in the spacer towards the spine of the knife making it an "L" shape. Then make a new spring that is also an "L" shape and fit it into the slot. It will then never come out. You can make them out of Ti if you have any.

+1 to this...or g-flex would probably hold it
