Hey there guys, I've been having some problems with a couple of lockback knives that I have and was wondering if anyone could put in some input as to the reason.
Whenever I open and close a knife a lot to wear it in, it develops a strange grinding stiffness in the initial opening. It's strange to see that several knives I have from Cold Steel and Spyderco both develop this symptom. I've taken apart the knife thinking that where the lock meets the tang might have some sort of rough burr or something causing this, but nothing I've done has helped.
Ideas?
