Hey...looking for some input here.
I'd like to buy a nice locking knife somewhere in the price range of $100.
I don't care what type of metal the blade is made of so long as it can hold an edge. I'm not going to chop down a tree with it, but I don't want to keep sharpening it everytime I use it either.
I'd like the blade to be in the 3" area also with a pocket clip so that I can keep it handy.

Right now I have a Cold Steel Voyager in VG-1, but the more and more I read about Cold Steel in these forums the more I'm thinking they just had a great advertising exec. and their knives aren't as good as they claim.

Thanks in advance for your input!

The Calypso III by Spyderco is real nice and for that matter they make a superb lockback all around. My favorite is the 83mm Manix.

I got one a while back more traditional that blew my mind also for the quality. Its the Kershaw Gents lockback 1993-2 in VG10 blade steel. What a great knife that one is. You'd have to see it to believe it. Super fit and finish, great design and a great price for what you get. Even the lock spring is mirror polished on this beauty. It really is a stunning looker.

I have 3 C34 Jess horn spydercos that are great knives AND good looking EDC's. Blades are aus-8. They are like a delica, but not as beefy and utilitarian. They are way more traditional looking and handsome than most spydercos. Discontinued now, but you can sometimes pick one up for around $100.

Everytime I carry one, my knife loving buddies are always wanting to fondle it. I have two burgundy handled ones and one white handle - they are some of my favorite knives.
