I have been looking at my Delica and Endura and wishing I could get rid of the ricasso. Then I saw the Centofante 3 and 4 and wondered how the ricasso was eliminated/hidden to allow more cutting edge. I don't suspect anyone has a disassembled Centofante 3 or 4 because they are pinned together.

Does anyone know what Centofante 3 and 4 look like under the hood? Or what would need to happen to a Delica/Endura to move/modify the ricasso?

Just yesterday I was thinking this about the Manix 2... I have a spare 154cm blade laying around from a S110V blade swap (prior to them making the G10/S110V model).

I was thinking of swapping that into my G10 that is inbound and marking out the handle shape on the 154cm blade and regrinding it to remove the choil.

The handle alone is ergonomic perfection to me, and the choil is 1/2" of wasted cutting realty...

I have the same complaint about the Manix 2. Loved the knife but, I never could get over the choil eating up all that blade space and having a huge grip.

I think you may not like the result of a regrind if the choil though. It doesn’t look like it will be in line with the rest of the blade.

I am absolutely find with bring the heel of the edge up a bit and increasing the belly across the whole edge.

I was thinking of a gradual curve, just to remove the jimping and then regrinding to bring the ricasso thickness in line with the rest of the edge. Basically just removing the pink line.

Also seems that it is a S30V blade not 154cm.

The one I have inbound is a flat ground S30V.
