Locking a thread.

It looks like the OP can no longer lock a thread. Is that feature missing in the new software?

We need a "new platform function" dictionary

Private message is now a conversation between 2 or more (IIRC up to 5) members and Visitor message is now profile message.

If you look at the pic you'll see the thread tools pull down menu allowed to the thread starters who have the proper membership privileges allowing them to open and close their own threads.

Just click the open box and it'll close the tread, next time you click thread tools for your thread you'll have the option of opening it. Kinda like a streamlined version of the old way. :)

Yeah, I saw that, but it's not as effective as that old way. IMHO, of course. :oops:

New and improved isn't always.

Late to the party here as I'm just scrolling through Tech Support threads (must be bored ;)), but in what way is the new way "not as effective as the old way"? Drop down the Thread Tools, unclick Open, and the thread is closed. Just refresh the page to see the change.
