I have a Buck 501 and the blade no longer locks while open .... is there something I can do to fix it myself or do I have to send it in?
I cleaned the build up of pocket lint out (I got excited cuz I thought that had to be the problem ....) but no ... still no lock !
Any tricks? Thanks in advance.

Buck is known for having one of the best warranties in the knife business, and among the best customer service. I recommend that you send it to them.

Unless you are highly-skilled at knife repair, send it in. Why risk doing it wrong and possibly making things worse. If parts are worn out and beyond repair, Buck can replace them.

I have a lot of experience working on knives, but if I had a problem with my Buck 110, I'd send it to Buck. They know their knives better than anyone.
